A FIGHT left a 31-year-old man needing stiches after his finger was bitten off.

The victim was taken to the Countess of Chester Hospital on Saturday, November 1 at about 3.10am after fighting with another man at Compton Place, near Hough Green, Chester.

A police spokesperson said: “A 31-year-old man was arrested after a fight in Compton Place for biting the tip of a man’s finger off. The attacker was put on police bail to appear at Blacon custody suite on November 7.

“The victim was taken to the Countess of Chester Hospital where he received stitches.”
