CHESTER Lions Club is helping disabled children ride high.

The club has presented Chester and Wirral Riding for the Disabled with £1,000 worth of equipment including 10 riding hats, eight high-visibility jackets, 24 lead reins, four sheepskin seat savers and two sets of ladder reins.

President Phil Taylor presented chairman of Chester and Wirral Riding for the Disabled Glenny Richardson with the kit at an event at Fox’s Stables in Ledsham.

After the presentation, children from Dee Banks School were taken by RFD helpers for a ride round the indoor arena.

President Phil Taylor said: “These children always enjoy riding and it gives them confidence. It is a fun and rewarding experience.”
