Staff from Chester’s John Lewis store have been getting into the festive spirit by helping others.

They have attended various Age UK Christmas parties, as well as providing mince pies, juice and Christmas hampers to be raffled off.

Layla Brookes, branch operations assistant, made up Christmas hampers to be used as raffle prizes and gave them to Age UK representative Karen Barlow to take to the Abbotswood Day Centre and Winnington Park Recreation Club.

When Age UK held a Christmas party for the Luncheon Club members at Little Neston Methodist Church Hall, John Lewis department manager Kate Keogan and branch operations assistant Kate Burgoyne went to help out while section manager Dave Burden went to sing. John Lewis also provided gifts for the Luncheon Club members.

At the Age UK day care facility within Hollymere, New Grosvenor Road in Ellesmere Port, branch manager Lewis Evenden and department manager Susie Coffey gave out mince pies and juice provided by the Chester John Lewis branch. They also provided a hamper for the raffle.

Lastly, when Age UK held another party within Newton House, John Lewis section manager Dave Burden went to sing Christmas carols and he took along a Christmas hamper to be raffled off.

The branch have also held a raffle for partners which raised £96 for Age UK.
