Members of Chester Inner Wheel collected items for the charity Save the Family during November and December last year.
The donations were presented to founder Edna Speed and Simon Groom, who will become the charity's new CEO shortly.
Simon spoke at the meeting of the work done by Save the Family to help families to turn their lives around after encountering difficulties and hardship.
Edna spoke about how she came to start the charity, which is celebrating its 40th anniversary this year.
