Staff at a Chester-based healthcare agency have raised £8,075 for local charities over the last financial year.
Charities to benefit from Jane Lewis’ fundraising included Claire House in Bebington, Halton Haven Hospice in Runcorn and Countess of Chester Hospital Babygrow Appeal, with activities including a sponsored hat day, the Chester Half Marathon, a hosted Hallowe’en fun day and Nantwich Midnight Walk.
Staff who took part in the fundraising included consultants Charlotte Houghton and Courtney Wardle who completed the Chester Race for Life and raised £500 for Cancer Research UK as well as the Care at Home team who raised £4,000 for Claire House by hosting a Hallowe’en themed fun day and carrying out a sponsored sky dive.
Managing director Becky Garnett-Buchma said: “As a local healthcare agency we understand how important charitable donations are to funding the vital services provided by local hospices to our community so we are really happy to have raised over £8,000 during the last year.”
Jane Lewis will continue to raise funds for local charities in the upcoming year and their next activity will see consultant Ginnie Garnett enter the Warrington Half Marathon in aid of Warrington Community Living in September.
