Chester Racecourse was a hive of activity for the start of the 2015 Chester Half Marathon .
Our photographer Kevin Hughes was there to capture a vast array of images from the scene at the Roodee as Town Crier David Mitchell sent everyone on their way.
There were some colourful teams running for a cause alongside some serious elite runners and even one or two fancy dress competitors.
