The name's pine, Antique Pine Imports (UK)!

The family-owned Mickle Trafford business is revelling in big screen glory after supplying 29 pieces of century-old antique pine for suave secret agent James Bond’s latest outing Spectre which opened in cinemas on Monday.

Staff were neither shaken nor stirred when they were approached by the film company.

No stranger to providing props for Hollywood blockbusters, Antique Pine Imports has had dealings with the X-Men franchise and last year’s Into the Woods, which starred Meryl Streep.

The latest 007 instalment is packed with explosions, glimpses of epic car chases and Bond's witty one-liners

It is also a supplier for ITV’s 60 Minute Makeover.

Their pine items in Spectre feature prominently in scenes set in a ski lodge, filmed at Pinewood Studios and on location in Austria.

The pieces were returned to the warehouse on Silverdale Park following their rental and sold on to customers, so homes in and around Chester may well be decked out with wood used in the blockbuster, starring Chester-born Daniel Craig.

Glenn Miller, one of the managers at Antique Pine Imports (UK), said: “We knew all along that we were dealing with the 24th Bond film. It’s the biggest film we’ve been involved with but we did it so far in advance.

“Customers have been telling us that they have seen our stuff at the cinema.

“We’ve not seen the film yet – we’re going tonight!”
