AN EVENTS company who lost everything in the fire at the Chester Enterprise Centre in January are encouraging fashionable Cestrians to get involved in their next event.

This Lady Loves are hosting a charity clothes swap, Swish in the City, at the Abode hotel in Grosvenor Park on July 14.

Despite their office being reduced to a burned out shell in January, destroying all their contact details and documents, the Liverpool Road company have bounced back remarkably well.

This is the third time they have run the event, with the venue getting bigger and better each time.

Women come with items of clothing, jewellery and handbags and then swap them for something new and different.

All remaining clothes will be donated to Save the Family.

Company founder Tracey Thomas said: “We’re always trying to keep things low cost and this is a good way to do that. Our events are great value for money.

“Last time we had ladies turn up with whole suitcases full of clothes and accessories.

“Handbags are the most popular and last time we had lots of prom dresses.

“I think ladies sometimes buy things and leave them in their wardrobe and forget about them.”

The company was set up two years ago to promote small local businesses online and through networking events.
