THE Cheshire group of Endurance GB organised the Equithon charity challenge in Chester.

The event gave riders a unique challenge to ride a full, half or mini marathon distance over the West Cheshire countryside to raise funds for charity. The event was hosted by the Eaton Estate and 82 riders took part and successfully completed the distances they had chosen to ride.

“The riders had a great time – there was opportunity to let their horses canter over miles of grass,” said event organiser Steph Wagstaff.

“Our gratitude is extended to the Duke and Duchess of Westminster for allowing us the privilege to ride through the beautiful Eaton Estate and over land of Grosvenor Farm.”

This was an event for all horse riders; with riders ranging in age from 6 to 73 years old.

This year’s event has raised over £4,000 to date and will benefit six charity organisations including two local branches of the Riding for the Disabled Association, Claire House and MIND.
