Tribute has been paid to a charity’s volunteers in Chester and Ellesmere Port with a number of Thanksgiving celebration lunches.

The Catch22 volunteers, who have dedicated more than 3,500 hours of their time to the local communities each year, were rewarded with a hot lunch and cake and the opportunity to meet and socialise with other volunteers from their areas.

The following stores donated towards their celebration events: Boots in Cheshire Oaks, Morrisons in Ellesmere Port, Tesco in Chester.

Catch22 volunteers work tirelessly to support the 16 children’s centres in Cheshire West and Chester, two youth clubs and a home-visiting service for families with children aged between 0-19 years.

The support they give to families in the community is invaluable and Catch22 want to take time out to say a big thank you to their team of volunteers who make it happen.

Volunteer co-ordinator Paula Bagnall at Catch22 said: “It is so important that we celebrate all our wonderful volunteers who make such a difference dedicating their spare time to helping others. Getting our volunteers together and hearing them share their experiences and what motivates them to give up their time for others is inspiring to us all.”
