A SHOP has given a cash boost to a hospice.

Dunelm Mill, based on the Greyhoud Retails Park, Sealand Road, has given £100 to Claire House Hospice.

The money was part of £10,000 donated by the company to mark the opening of its 100th store in Cheltenham.

Soft furnishing specialist Dunelm Mill donated £100 to 100 local charities throughout the UK.

Chester store manager Jess Bellis presented the cheque to Claire House fundraiser Laura Breen.

Jess said: “We chose to donate the money to Claire House as they are a charity organisation and are not funded by the government so they rely entirely on donations and fundraising. “We are really happy to help them with this and look forward to helping raise more funds in the future.”
