More than 550 Beavers, Cubs and Scouts from Chester and District Scout Association came together for the annual St George’s Day Scout Parade, the most important day in the Scouting calendar.

The parade started at 11am from Castle Square and this year, for the first time, the Scouts were joined on the parade by Lord Mayor of Chester Jill Houlbrook.

The parade was followed by a service at Chester Cathedral where the scouts remade their Scout Promise to do their best and to do their duty.

The adventurous and community based activities that the young people had undertaken in the previous year were also remembered.
