A COUPLE are due to appear at Chester Crown Court next month charged with offences related to the growing of almost £7,000 worth of cannabis.

Appearing before Chester Magistrates on Friday morning, Duncan Hine, 31, of Kelsall, and Victoria Healey, 31, of Tarvin, were told the case will now be heard on Monday, February 2.

Hine is charged with cultivation and possession of cannabis with intent to supply while Healey, as occupier of the Heath Road house where the class C substance was found, is charged with knowingly permitting or suffering to take place on the premises the production of cannabis.

Neither defendant has entered a plea to the charges.
