A male cyclist was taken to hospital by ambulance after being involved in a collision with a car near Chester city centre this afternoon (Wednesday, August 3).

The accident, involving a cyclist and a gold Renault Clio, was reported about 2.10pm in Egerton Street.

Cheshire Police spokesman Daniel Hind said: “Officers attended along with the ambulance service and the cyclist was taken to the Countess of Chester Hospital with what are believed to be minor injuries.”
