Hamilton Place car park in Chester will be closed for four days due to archaeological work needed as part of the Northgate development .

For health and safety reasons the car park, which provides 10 dedicated Blue Badge parking spaces, will be closed from Tuesday, April 12 to Friday, April 15. The motor cycle area of the car park will also be closed.

Cabinet member for environment and community Mark Henesy said: “The work to be carried out at Hamilton Place will generate accumulations of red sandstone.
