Traffic lights have been fixed on the roundabout serving the busy Chester Business Park following earlier problems on Thursday morning.

A Chronicle reader, who tweeted about the problem around 7.30am, also confirmed the nearby Post House roundabout traffic lights were working fine following issues earlier this week.

Cheshire West and Chester Council spokeswoman Shirley Wingfield confirmed the lights at the roundabout serving the business park and the park & ride site in Wrexham Road had been reported as broken at 7.55am but an engineer had fixed the glitch by 9.10am.

On Tuesday morning, the traffic lights at the nearby Posthouse roundabout stopped working after a power failure at around 1am. The lights, at a key arterial route into Chester, were off for more than ten hours.

The Highways Agency carried out repairs and also altered the sequencing of the lights on the notorious roundabout following complaints by motorists.
