A CHARITABLE group handed a cheque for more than £2,500 to help care for terminally ill children.

The Funding Corporation, based at Chester Business Park, held various events during 2009, organised by the sports and social committee, aimed at raising cash for Hope House children’s hospice.

Alison Marsh, Hope House’s area fundraising manager said: “We are delighted to have received such a wonderful donation from The Funding Corporation to help us continue our care of local terminally ill children.

“The support of companies in the Chester area is so important to us, especially during these challenging financial times.

“The money raised will ensure we can look forward to the coming year, especially developing the counselling services we are able to provide to bereaved parents and children.”

This year, TFC has already raised £155 from a Valentine’s Day cake sale and next month staff member Lee Taylforth is planning to do a parachute jump for the charity.
