A TEAM of cyclists completed their challenge of cycling 220 miles from Chester to London.

The ride by Baker Tilly, Chartered Accountants and Business Advisers, ended on Sunday when they joined about 1,500 cyclists for the ‘Hero Ride’ from Blackheath to Buckingham Palace and up The Mall to finish on Horse Guards Parade.

Jill Jones, the North West office managing partner, led the Baker Tilly team consisting of Simon Moulton, Andrew Baker, Steve Brown, Karl Rosedale, Jacqui Murray and Tom Pennington.

The Baker Tilly team has smashed its fundraising target and so far raised nearly £10,000 for Help for Heroes.

Jill said: “We were delighted to be involved in such an inspirational and worthwhile event; it was a truly spectacular site seeing the 1,500 cyclists in formation up The Mall and the public support along the route was amazing.

“We are very grateful for all of the support from the local business community and Baker Tilly Partners and staff whose contributions have helped us smash our target.”

Help for Heroes was born out of a simple desire to assist the wounded and that goal remains unchanged.
