A bespoke beauty and skincare department is now one of the biggest features at Marks & Spencer in Chester.

The brand new section is part of the Foregate Street superstore’s modernisation, and was officially unveiled last week, along with a new cafe and bakery.

The beauty department is similar to that at Marks & Spencer Cheshire Oaks branch, and offers the same wide range of unique and affordable beauty and branded skincare products.

Specially trained beauty assistants will be available to offer tips and guidance, and all have completed intensive education programmes to learn about hair care, skin analysis and practical makeup application for all occasions.

The Chester store is one of 100 Beauty Concept Marks & Spencer stores in the country since the first opened in London in 2012.

As part of the makeover, the satellite store on the northern side of the street which previously housed home and menswear has closed its doors, with both departments and staff moving to the main store.

Store manager Jonathan Bradburn said: “I am looking forward to welcoming customers to see the makeover of our Chester Foregate Street store.

“We are excited to share what we have been working on for the last few months with customers.”
