Parents of children in Year 6 at Cheshire West and Chester schools will find out today (Tuesday, March 1) if their child has been successful in securing a place at their chosen secondary school.

Demand for high school places in many areas of the UK exceeds supply but last year in the borough, 92% of applicants were granted their first choice.

In 2015 30 families were unable to gain a place at the popular Bishops' Blue Coat CE High School, during one of the most tense weeks of the year for primary school parents.

For those not getting their first choice or any of their preferences, the only option is to appeal.

Did your child get in to your first choice of school? Let us know how you have got on.
