CHESHIRE Police are urging residents to look after their elderly neighbours.
DS Barry Brown of Cheshire Police said: “This time of year tends to focus our attention on the vulnerable and lonely members of our community to ensure that they are safe and well cared for.
“Occasionally the vulnerable are targeted by unscrupulous offenders who look to befriend them and then relieve them of money and personal possessions.
“In the coming weeks and months please lookout for your neighbours and if are suspicious of any new friends or associates or any general labourers carrying out work for the elderly then please let us know. We are only as good as the information we receive.”
