There are reports of a multiple vehicle collision on the M56 near Runcorn.
The incident was tweeted by North West Motorway Police at 3.40pm today (Saturday, May 16).
Police say the 'multiple vehicle RTC' is between junctions 14 and 12 on the eastbound carriageway with the Highways Agency in attendance.
Helen Eva tweeted in response: 'It's on the hard shoulder by j12 but naturally everyone wants to have a nose causing delays.'
