Thirty new recruits were welcomed into Cheshire Constabulary by chief constable Simon Byrne during an attestation ceremony at the Winsford headquarters.
Friends and family watched as the latest recruits read the oath of allegiance and applauded as they received their warrant cards from magistrate Alan Eyres.
The Cheshire Police Band performed and 11 members of the constabulary were also recognised for their hard work and dedication via the presentation of the Chief and Chief Superintendent Commendations.
Mr Bryne said: “I am delighted to welcome our new recruits. We made a commitment to the public of Cheshire to increase frontline policing and I am thrilled that we have been able to deliver on this promise. They will soon join colleagues in the Local Policing Unit’s to help deliver our commitments to the communities of Cheshire.

Police and crime commissioner for Cheshire John Dwyer said: “It is very encouraging to see these new recruits take up the challenge to police our community and commit to keeping people safe. They have a fantastic and diverse career ahead of them and I wish them well in fulfilling their vocation to the best of their abilities.
“I’m sure the public will feel reassured that despite the challenges of austerity, we are keeping our commitment to Cheshire residents by putting more officers on the front line.
"This can only be a good thing which will increase confidence in the Constabulary and continue to make Cheshire a safe place to live.”
