The next significant stage of the 2016 Trinity Mirror Cheshire Business Awards scheme, sponsored by SAS Daniels, has arrived as we reveal the first shortlists for this year’s honours.

We have been asking businesses from across the region to nominate themselves, or another business they know well, for one of the awards.

There were 11 categories to choose from and the awards were open to all businesses whatever the size of trade.

Kaye Whitby, corporate partner at SAS Daniels and head of the Chester office, said: “I’ve been a commercial lawyer in Cheshire for many years and one of the great things about these awards is that they showcase the significant investment into the growth of the region by a variety of businesses – some of whom I know and some who are new to me. SAS Daniels is looking forward to celebrating with all these businesses on the night.”
