THE language of Chaucer came alive for English pupils at The King’s School.

Oxford graduate Trevor Eaton, otherwise known in literary circles as The Chaucer Man because of his fluent Middle English, visited the Wrexham Road school with one of his dramatic performances of The Canterbury Tales.

Mr Eaton started his talk by discussing the linguistics of his chosen script. He also gave informative tips to sixth formers on how to best answer exam questions and phrase arguments most effectively.

He acted out The Pardoner’s Tale for his captivated audience followed by a question and answer feedback session.
