The bride-to-be of Britain's most violent jailbird Charles Bronson has revealed where she will be jetting off to after their impending prison nuptials.

But Paula Williamson will be heading off into the sunset alone.

The former Corrie actress, 37, will wed notorious criminal Bronson at high-security Wakefield prison on Tuesday (November 14) before flying to Malta with friends to celebrate, Mirror Online reports.

Sixty-four-year-old Bronson grew up in Ellesmere Port and and earned himself the reputation of “Britain’s most violent prisoner” because of repeated attacks towards prison staff and fellow inmates.

Strict prison rules mean Bronson will reportedly be handcuffed to a warden for the entire wedding ceremony, before heading back to his cell while the reception is held at a local hotel.

Paula will then jet off on a “honeymoon” with friends, while her husband – who now calls himself Charles Salvador after his artist idol – remains locked up in HMP Wakefield.

The former soap star said honeymooning without her new husband was “mental” - but insisted that Bronson actually told her to do it.

She also admitted the couple would not be consummating their marriage on their wedding night, and said she was “willing to wait”.

Speaking to Nick Ferrari on LBC today she said: “We would love [to spend our wedding night together] but obviously that’s not going to happen with where he is now.

“It’s not ideal is it. When you’re getting married you kind of expect that to be part of it, don’t you. But I love the man and I’m willing to wait.”

She added: “He will be released. I won’t give up on him. I will tell you that now.

“It won’t be that long. I reckon four or five years because that’s what we spoke about during our parole hearing.

“It sounds mental, I understand. It does but he told me to do it. So yes, I’ll be off to Malta with some friends. The wedding will happen in the prison at two in the afternoon.

“We get two hours and five guests, then after that I have to go. And I’ll go onto a hotel and celebrate with family and friends.”

Twice-divorced Bronson separated from his first wife Irene in 1977, before remarrying a prison pen pal while he was still behind bars.

Earlier this year, Paula revealed on Good Morning Britain that she wanted to have a baby with her fiancée.

ITV host Richard Madeley asked: “How do you plan to get pregnant? He’s been denied conjugal rights so I assume you’d have to have a specimen of his sperm?”

Paula, who fell in love with Bronson after the two became pen pals, said: “I think it would have to be a case of medical science would help.

“I’m 37 now and the realisation hit me that, what if he does spend the next three years in prison?

“He’s 64 now and we might want to have a baby, that’s something we’ve seriously considered.”
