A CHARITY ball at Chester’s Grosvenor Hotel was a resounding success.

The Lady Taverners’ Winter Ball, sponsored by travel company ITC and Deva Travel, raised £28,000 for children with special needs.

Guests were entertained by Vince Earl (alias Ron Dixon) and his band, Tom Jones look-a-like Tony Roman and the Robbie Moore disco which kept everyone on their feet until the early hours of the morning.

Chris Talbot, North West chairman of the Lady Taverners, said: “It was a wonderful evening. I have a great team of fund raisers and they all worked very hard to make sure the evening was a great success‘. We raised in the region of £28,000, which is a credit to all involved, however, we could not have done it without the help of Drew Foster at ITC.”

The money will be used towards the purchase of buses and sporting equipment for children with special needs.
