FINE feathers went on parade as Malpas and Whitchurch Poultry Fanciers’ Society members held their autumn show at Whixall Social Centre.
It was a successful show despite entries being down.
Show organiser Robin Benson said it could be due to fuel prices and increased poultry feed costs.
Overall show champion was Collette Roberts from North Wales, who also won best large soft feather.
Reserve champion was David Andrew of Welshpool who was also best junior exhibitor. Other results: best large hard feather, David Lloyd, Colwyn Bay; best soft feather bantam, Ian Cotterill, Walsall; best hard feather bantam, Clive Moores, Northwich; best true bantam, Peter Tasker, Sandbach; best rare breed, P&A Pennington, Glossop; best egg exhibitor, John Tickell, St Helens.
