Ceri Pimblett from Great Sutton is running this year’s Chester Half Marathon to raise money for the Neem Tree Trust in India.

The Trust was set up by Ceri’s friend Ken Miller who sadly died last year, and his wife Kathy in 2003 whilst they were all travelling together in India.

Ceri said: “It’s a fantastic charity where a little goes a long way. The money will go towards helping:

The residents of a disabled boys’ home located near to Tirunelveli, Tamil Nadu, South India.

St Luke’s Leprosarium, Peikulam in the District of Thoothukudi in caring for leprosy patients and their children.

To relieve poverty and sickness in the Tirunelveli district and its surrounding area of Tamil Nadu.

“Ken was a big fan of marathons having run one of the first London marathons in 1982 and he always used to wear his medal whilst watching it on the television.”

Ceri’s target is to raise £750 and you can help support her at www.virginmoneygiving.com/ceripimblett.
