Police have released a CCTV image of a man they want to question about an alleged indecent act performed in front of a teenager at Chester railway station.

The incident happened shortly after 1.30pm on Monday, July 1, as the 15-year-old boy waited for a train.

PC Geoff Robinson, of British Transport Police, said: “The boy was minding his own business when he was approached by a man in his early 20s who stood in front of him.

“Shortly after approaching the youth the man performed a prolonged indecent act on himself.”

PC Robinson added: “Though the man made no physical approach to the youth, the incident left the youngster feeling extremely uncomfortable and vulnerable.

“The offender’s actions were completely unacceptable and I am now calling on anyone with information about the incident to come forward.

“I have conducted a number of enquiries to date and have isolated the image of a man I believe has key information in relation to the incident.”

If you recognise the man, or can assist the investigation in any way please call British Transport Police on 0800 40 50 40. In all calls please quote log B2/NWA of 4/9/13.
