THE Bolesworth Castle Showjumping Classic and Country Fair will be held this year from July 10-12 with a prize fund of almost £50,000.

More than 12,000 spectators attended the inaugural event in 2008Što see some of the country’s top riders compete in action.

This year’s event, affiliated to the British Showjumping Association, features one of the country’s largest prize funds and a host of attractions across the weekend to appeal to the whole family.

On Friday, July 10, businesses and corporate guests are invited toŠŠenjoy the Bolesworth Classic Business Lunch in the VIP Marquee.

This unique event will provide the perfectŠŠopportunityŠŠfor businesses toŠŠpromote themselves, entertain clients with a three-course luncheon and afternoon tea and watch the cream of British showjumping from the sun terrace overlooking the main arena at the castle.

A summer barbecue with live entertainment will be held on Saturday July 11, including a new 148 PonyŠGrand Prix, and the popular dog show, which attracted hundreds of entries last year.

Once again the Bolesworth Classic will also feature a wide variety of trade stands, fairground attractions, a craft fair and a fine food marqueeŠfeaturing masterchefŠBrian Mellor, with some of the very best produce the North West has to offer.

Having raised £4,000 for nominated charities last year the organisers of the 2009 BolesworthŠClassic are aiming to surpass that target and will again be supporting the CatWalk Spinal Cord Injury Trust, an international organisation that raises funds for research intoŠa cure for Spinal Cord Injuries.
