Construction has begun on a state-of-the-art care home for Chester.
The £15m facility on Heath Lane in Boughton will house 81 beds and offer a wide range of services.
These include residential, general nursing and specialist dementia care.
New Care CEO Chris McGoff said: “We are delighted to have started work and are pleased to be providing the city with a truly modern, purpose-built care facility that will deliver high quality care with first class services.
“The plans for the new care facility are fantastic.
“Building is under way now and we are looking forward to the development taking shape in the coming months.”
The home will be operated by New Care and should create about 70 jobs.
They say their approach is to ‘maintain residents’ health and wellbeing and ensure they remain as independent as possible for as long as possible’.
Facilities will include en-suite showers in each bedroom, fine dining, a varied schedule of activies and even its own hair salon.
