BT Broadband customers in parts of Chester currently have no internet connection.

Customers in the Chester south area, including Handbridge and Saltney , reported their connection was down from 7.22am on Wednesday (November 25).

The provider said they expected to get homes and businesses back online at 4pm, but this estimate has now been put back.

Update: BT Broadband in Chester still down for second day

A BT statement said: "We're really sorry but we've got a problem at the moment in the Chester South area, which means that some of our customers will be having trouble getting online.

"We're trying to fix the problem as quickly as we can."

BT recently pledged £3.4m to the Connecting Cheshire project to extend the reach of fibre optic broadband across the county.
