SOUTH Cheshire's Lions Youth Brass held a slow melody competition as part of a festive concert at Sandbach High School.
Winners in each section were: Eight years, Jack Miles; 10 years, Harry Mace; 12 years, Abbie Edwards; 14 years. Alex Holsgrove; 15 years, Neil Rais-beck.
Alex Holsgrove also won the 17 years, 19 years and open section whilst Matthew Darlington and Zach Rogerson won the ensemble group section along with James Darlington. The competition was followed in the evening with a concert featuring Lions Beginner, Junior, and Youth Brass Bands along with Bactiguard Wire Brass.
Lions Youth Brass would like to thank Sandbach Town Council, local Lions clubs, and Merben Music of Crewe for the donation of trophies for the competition.
