Police have recovered the body of a 62-year-old man from a canal in Ellesmere Port .
Underwater search officers from Cheshire police made the discovery in a canal basin on Thursday morning.
During a search for a man of the same age who had been reported missing from a canal boat moored near to the National Waterways Museum at the canal basin.
The man has not yet been formally identified but police have confirmed he is from Ellesmere Port and that they are not treating the circumstances of his death as suspicious.
