A TARPORLEY businesswoman played a big part in one of the UK’s top beauty award ceremonies.
Angela Bartlett, director of mystery beauty shopping company, Hidden Beauty UK, on Woodlands Way, was selected to organise the official visits for the 2011 Professional Beauty Awards held on London’s Park Lane.
The celebrated role of ‘official visitor’ acts as the ‘eyes and ears’ for the judges to select winners for eight categories.
Visitors are generally chosen for their beauty expertise, reliability, attention to detail and unbiased approach, and Angela, also a beauty therapist at Angela Bartlett Health & Beauty at Beeston’s Wild Boar Hotel, was thrilled to be given the responsibility of hand-picking them herself.
Angela said: “I was honoured and delighted to be asked to organise the official visits for the biggest event in the calendar for beauty professionals.
“But what I will probably remember most about the experience is not just all the fantastic spa and beauty treatments - but being mistaken for a member of Virgin rail staff at the station when wearing my red coat!
“I thoroughly enjoyed it and look forward to supplying the same service next year.”
