A SUCCESSFUL autumn show was held by Tiverton District Garden Club on Saturday, with 25 exhibitors showing 196 entries in 66 open classes.
The President's Cup for the Club Member with most First Prizes in the Show was won by Geoff Fowles with nine firsts.
He also won the J Lee Trophy for the most First Prizes in the fruit and vegetable classes and the G Howell Memorial Shield for the best pot plant exhibit.
The Challenge Cup for the runner-up went to Sue Reed with seven first prizes in the show. Mrs Reed was the star exhibitor, with 36 entries in the show.
Visitors packed the village hall, making for a lively atmosphere as they admired the displays,.
After the prize-giving ceremony, the auction of produce in aid of club funds was run by Jeff Spooner,.
The club thanks their sponsors who generously donated prize money. They included: Fleur of Tarporley, W H Povall, L Fothergill and The Royal Botanical and Horticultural Society of Manchester and Northern Counties.
