The Barrow Book of Remembrance for the First World War was dedicated at a service attended by Barrow School at St Bartholomew's Church.

The children sang a medley of songs from the war and read out the names of those commemorated in the book.

The children and the congregation then listened to stories from members of the Book of Remembrance Project Team about the lives of three of the men named in the book.

The service was followed by an exhibition of model planes, artwork and scrapbooks from the children at Barrow School, and also First World War memorabilia kindly donated by residents.
