TWO people arrested on suspicion of murder have appeared in court so that police can extend the time they can be held for questioning.

Following the death of 23-year-old Fynn Davey at a house on Balmoral Park, off Cheyney Road in Chester on Saturday, a 24-year-old woman and 34-year-old man were arrested at the scene.

They appeared in Chester Magistrates Court on Monday morning (January 25) to have their custody time limits extended by 24 hours.

The quiet residential cul-de-sac in the Garden Quarter was a hive of activity on Saturday night as officers began their investigation.

A group was quickly set up on social networking site Facebook titled RIP FYNN DAVEY and by midday on Monday the group had more than 800 members.

Among dozens of messages left, one friend, Jordan Mehta, said: “Missin you already lad....was with u hours before i love you.....you were my true mate an always will be il be lookin out for u in the sky big man im devastated.”

Chester police have yet to officially release the names of either the victim or the two people arrested.
