CHESTER Library is offering the chance to meet authors this autumn.

On Saturday, October 2, at 2pm Roderick Heather will be talking about his new book, The Iron Tsar, the Life and Times of John Hughes. This is the story of a man, born in South Wales, who went on to found a city in his own image in 19th century Ukraine.

On Saturday, October 16, at 11am Manchester-born Annette Lawrence will talk about her second novel, Evil Deeds of the Subconscious Mind.

The storyline tackles difficult issues like Alzheimer’s disease, multiple sclerosis and incest and proceeds of ticket sales will be donated to Shopmobility.

Next up is author Susi Osborne, who will talk about her second novel, Grace and Disgrace, on Friday, November 12, at 3pm.

Susi is a Cheshire author who worked in Cheshire libraries for 13 years before taking up writing. Her first novel, The Ripples of Life, was published in 2008. She writes about relationships and her stories are full of humour yet tinged with sadness.

There will be an opportunity to buy signed copies at all the events. Tickets are £2 but places are limited. For further information, call Chester Library on 01244 977380.
