BUDDING footballers in Frodsham have claimed victory in a local league.
Pupils at Frodsham Weaver Vale Primary School, Ship Street, Frodsham, outstripped the competition during a match against schools across Frodsham, Helsby and surrounding rural areas.
Last year’s winners Helsby Hillside Primary School presented the cup to the team, saying they were very keen to win it back next year.
Headteacher Mrs Kerry Forrester said: “I am extremely proud of our football team and the hard work they put in.
“They have super positive attitudes and are true sportsmen. Credit has to go to the team’s manager Mrs Chris Wood who set up the league last year and has worked tirelessly with the team.”
