FIREFIGHTERS battled a blaze after portable toilets were set on fire.

FIREFIGHTERS battled a blaze after portable toilets were set on fire.

At just before 5am today (February 20) emergency services were called to Whitchurch Road in Broxton after reports of a fire.

Crews from Malpas fire station attended the blaze which started when two portable toilets were set on fire.

Firefighters used one hose reel to extinguish the fire and checked the surrounding area with a thermal imaging camera to check for the spread of fire.

Police are urging anyone with any information about the fire to call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
