TWO people have been arrested after suspected Class A drugs were recovered from a Weaverham home.

Police targeted the Farm Road address on Friday and a 24-year-old woman and 25-year-old man were arrested on suspicion of possessing Class A drugs with intent to supply. They have since been released on police bail pending forensic tests of the recovered items believed to be crack cocaine and heroin worth more than £300.

The operation came a week after a search warrant was executed at a residential property at Long Meadow when a 19-year-old Weaverham man was arrested on suspicion of possession of Class C drugs and was later cautioned. DC Dave Christmas said: 'The more people tell us about what they see and hear in their community the more effective we can be with this work and I encourage people get in touch if they feel they have any information which may be of use to us.'
