Children from The Arches Primary School in Blacon brought some festive cheer to Sealand Road Tesco.

Shoppers were entertained with a selection of songs from their nativity and some favourite Christmas songs to try to raise money towards a special surprise trip in the Spring term.

FS2 teacher Lisa Johnson said: "The children really enjoyed their performance and Tesco looked after us all brilliantly.  We would like to say a massive thank you to everyone that made a donation - Christmas spirit is clearly very strong in Chester this year."

They raised £76.75 which will make their trip possible.

Lisa added: "Everyone at The Arches (but particularly the FS2 team) are extremely proud of the children for their exemplary behaviour, show-stopping singing and mega moves! Several of the performers were under the weather that day but they still gave everything they had to their performance."
