Cheshire Police are appealing for information following a fatal collision on the A49 at Tarporley .

The collision, which happened shortly before 8am on Friday March 4, involved a HGV and a pedestrian. The pedestrian, a 20-year-old man, sadly died at the scene.

The man’s next of kin has been informed and formal identification has taken place.

The A49 had been closed between the A51 Rode Street junction and the Tarporley Road junction, while emergency services dealt with the incident.

The investigation is ongoing and police would like to speak to anyone who may have witnessed anything in the run-up to the incident, or witnessed the collision itself.
