Police are appealing for help in tracing a missing man from Upton, Wirral, who is believed to be somewhere in Cheshire, possibly in the Chester area.

Mark Williams was last seen at around 3.30pm on the afternoon of Monday December 29 when getting off a train at Birkenhead Park train station.

Mark lives in supported accommodation in the Upton area and was last seen by staff at 2.50pm.

The 57-year-old is described as white, about 6ft tall and of medium build. He has short brown hair and was wearing a black woolly hat, black jacket and jeans and has difficulties with speech. He may become agitated if confronted.

Police are becoming increasingly concerned about his whereabouts and would urge anyone who knows where Mark is, or has seen a man resembling him, to contact Merseyside Police on 101 or the Missing People Charity on 116 000.
