An appeal to find the man responsible for a heatbutt assault in Frodsham has been launched.

A 36-year-old victim from Runcorn was knocked unconscious for several minutes in the attack.

It is believed to have taken place outside a takeaway on Main Road at about 2.15am on December 13.

The unknown man headbutted his male victim, who was treated for minor injuries at Warrington General Hospital.

Chester Local Policing Unit are asking for information to help find the suspect.

Investigating officer DC Jenny Black said: “I am keen to hear from anyone who was in the area at the time and believes they may have seen anything suspicious.

“Although this incident took place in the early hours of the morning, Frodsham is a busy town and I believe there may be people who were in the area who may have information that could assist our enquiries.”

The offender is described as a white man in his mid to late 20s, of medium build and about 5ft 9in to 5ft 10in tall.

He had a heavy stubble or bearded chin and at the time was wearing a peach/salmon pink corduroy shirt.

Anyone with information in relation to the incident should call Cheshire Police on 101 quoting incident number 144 of December 13.
