Police are appealing for information after a major crash which saw 160 bottles of milk spill onto the M6.
Traffic ground to a halt at noon on Friday (January 30) after a dairy truck overturned.
Emergency crews rushed to the scene near junction 20 at Lymm, Cheshire, after the collision hurled 160 bottles worth of milk into the carriageway.
The collision involved the truck, which was carrying bottles of milk, two lorries and a car.
Two men were taken to Warrington Hospital with minor injuries, police said.
Two lanes of the carriageway were blocked resulting in delays as emergency services worked to remove the vehicles from the motorway and clear up the spilt milk.
A spokesman for Cheshire Fire And Rescue Service added: “A light goods vehicle containing 160 bottles of milk overturned on the M6 between junctions 21 and 20 southbound, following a road traffic collision with a heavy goods vehicle.
“The vehicle ended up on its side and was carrying approximately 160 bottles of milk which then leaked.
"Crews used an environmental pack to stop the liquid from entering drainage and water systems.
"Two lanes of the motorway were closed while emergency services dealt with the incident. Paramedics and police also attended and there was no one was trapped.”
Enquiries are ongoing and police are asking anyone who has any information to call 101 quoting incident number 335 of 30 January.
