Well-known author Mark Griffiths visited JH Godwin Primary School in Blacon to inspire and ignite sparks of creativity for all of the children.

In the morning, Mark delivered an assembly where he read extracts from his books, which include outlandish titles such as ‘Space Lizards Stole My Brain!’, ‘The Impossible Boy’ and ‘Space Lizards Ate My Sister!’. He also answered questions about becoming a writer, his inspirations and his favourite books.

Later, Mark worked with Key Stage Two, teaching inspiring ways of using the ‘show don’t tell’ writing technique.

At the end of the day he autographed books for the children and signed a set for the school’s new Learning Hub.
