AIRBUS Broughton played host to a new breed of visitor when Fly, a four legged representative from the Search and Rescue Dog Association, visited.
Fly met members of the A350 XWB team who donned their hiking boots to raise funds for the charity by walking up Mount Snowdon.
The team of Airbus employees handed over two cheques of £500 each to the Search and Rescue Dogs Association and to Wales and the Ogwen Valley Mountain Rescue.
One of the intrepid climbers and Airbus employee, Alison Stubbs, said: “Employees put their best foot forward for the charity and worked really hard to raise money.
The work the search and rescue organisations do is invaluable at times when people can so easily get caught out by the bad weather. We’re hoping to make it an annual event as the money raised goes to such a good cause.”
The Search and Rescue Dogs Association is a voluntary organisation trains Mountain Rescue team members to become handlers of air-scenting rescue dogs.
The dogs locate missing persons and can be deployed easily and quickly to remote areas by helicopter.
